"Derp" isn't just a word to express stupidity. It's a positive state of mind. "Derp" is when you're picking back and drinking a Jarritos, swimming in the river, watching crappy movies at 3 AM with the rest of your residents.... Your mind is practically floating.

As to how I got the inspiration to write this song in the first place... "derp" is correct. I was listening to TeamFourStar's second set of outtakes, heard a spot where Lanipator repeatedly said "She-derp derp," tried to imagine the rhythm at which he spoke the words on auto-tune, wrote a bassline...and the rest is derp.

Does it bother you? It shouldn't. A freaking awesome Latin song emerged from it.
