My main portal for songs of the harder styles is the "CONTACT" podcast, run my DJ Tronic, which is heavy in jumpstyle tracks. Through various episodes, I would keep notes on parts that would make good samples for future projects.

Then, I decided to make a song based on a Russian folk melody (entitled "The Fortress"), which I slightly altered to make it more interesting.

This song is the combination of both concepts.

By the way, the sample before the climax is the artist screaming, "I GOT MINDF--KED!" I'd pick out a clearer sample, but Tronic (although I still love him) would keep screaming over the mix. He just loves the song too much, I guess.
